Junior doctors at AIIMS go on strike demanding increased security
The junior doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) went on a strike on Thursday over the increasing number of assaults on the doctors.
New Delhi, Nov 24: The junior doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) went on a strike on Thursday over the increasing number of assaults on the doctors.
According to reports, the agitating doctors have stated that false complaints are being registered against them which is not only affecting their reputation, but also tarninshing the image of the renowned hospital.
The doctors have demanded increased security arrangements for them.
Even in 2014, the AIIMS doctors had gone on a strike demanding adequate security following an attack by a patient's relatives on three senior resident doctors.
The doctors had then gone on an indefinite strike after alleging that the kin of a patient admitted in Surgical Emergency brandished guns and beat up the three doctors who were on duty.
