JSW Chairman Sajjan Jindal Reacts To Rape Allegation, Calls FIR Baseless
Responding to the serious allegations of sexual assault, JSW Group chairman and managing director Sajjan Jindal called the charges false and baseless on Sunday. According to the reports, a woman lodged an FIR against Jindal containing charges of rape leveled allegations. An FIR filed at Mumbai's BKC police station mentions a complaint under sections 376 (rape), 354 (outraging modesty of a woman), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
An official statement from the defender reads, "Mr. Sajjan Jindal denies these false and baseless allegations. He is committed to providing full cooperation throughout the investigation. As the investigation is ongoing, we will refrain from commenting further at this stage. We kindly request you to respect the privacy of the family."

In her complaint, the woman alleged that she met the businessman in 2021 during a cricket match in Dubai. After a few meetings, Jindal allegedly promised to marry her and made physical advances on her.
The complainant said she refused every offer made by the businessman, after which he "allegedly sexually assaulted her on January 24, 2022", reads the police complaint.
At first, Jindal apologized to the woman for his allegedly wrong behavior, but when the victim said she is going to file a complaint, Jindal allegedly threatened her with dire consequences and later blacklisted her number, said reports.
According to the media reports, the woman tried to lodge a police complaint in February this year and later moved to the Bombay High Court to seek justice.
