Journalists Trolled Over Shameless Behaviour As They Fight To Grab Canister In Viral Clip

The video has met with sharp reactions from netizens for their "shameless" behaviour. "Can someone please explain what's happening?" a user asked. The second one said, "No wonder why Indian media is on top from bottom."

Calling out the journalists' action, the third user stated, "Fact is one reporter got the smoke canister from road used by protestors outside Parliament... Worse is other reporters trying to snatch from him ... are they pick pocketers in previous life??? Indian TV's worst TRP dramas."

Talking about the incident, the fourth user added, "The initial clip showed the canister holding guy being escorted by a cop. He was struggling to get the canister off his hand, and when he managed he discarded it on ground and moved on. That's where the reporter got hold of it. Why was guy not pinned to ground with assistance?"

Mocking the reporters' action in front of the Parliament, another netizen said, "At the end of the day, you ought to be proud. You would do anything for your #GodiMedia badge. Stalked, went in between camera & the reporter with the canister, stood next to him & shouted into your phone, jigged around to grab the canister. Outstanding!"

However, a netizen patted the back of the TV9 journalist for asking "right questions." The user stated, Beyond all the jokes and jostling, the TV9 reporter has asked the right questions. How did they manage to smuggle a gas canister through heavy security? I hope he doesn't lose his job."

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate questioned how a "crucial evidence" reached the hands of the media. She said, "Isn't this smoke bomb / canister a crucial evidence in the security breach? How on earth is it in the hands of media? Forget about the vulgar fight over who will flash it. Is this a joke? Unbelievable!

One of the journalists, who was massively trolled by netizens after being seen in the clip, said, "End of the day - yes the video looks funny but as a reporter on the ground my Instinct not to let go - it was not the same canister as it was inside lok sabha - so no evidence here .. and also a cop came and kept it there."
