J&K: 183 Battalion of CRPF targeted in Pulwama, no casualties reported
Terrorists on Friday lobbed grenades and fired upon a Bunker vehicle of the 183 CRPF battalion while it was on its way to Idgah in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
No casualties have been reported. The security forces have also recovered three bags containing suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) mechanism during a search operation conducted after terrorists fired upon the bunker.
Earlier in the day, a high alert was issued in Srinagar over the possibility of a Fidayeen and a hit-and-run attack on security forces and their establishments in the next two or three days.
On Wednesday, a group of unidentified terrorists hurled grenade on a joint checkpoint of CRPF and the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Pulwama district of South Kashmir. The grenade, however, missed its target and fell in a nearby orchard and exploded. No one was hurt in the incident.
