Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: 2.6 Crore Voters in Jharkhand To Vote On November 13, 20

Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially announced the dates for the Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024. Voting will occur in two phases on November 13 and 20, with results set to be declared on November 23 (Saturday), coinciding with the Maharashtra polls.

The legislative assembly terms for both Maharashtra and Jharkhand are nearing expiration, with Maharashtra's term ending on November 26 and Jharkhand's on January 5.

The elections will take place across 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand, spanning 24 districts. Out of the total 81 seats in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, 44 are designated for the general category, 28 for Scheduled Tribes, and 9 for Scheduled Castes, according to the ECI.

Jharkhand has a total electorate of 2.6 crore, comprising approximately 1.29 crore female voters, 1.31 crore male voters, and 66.84 lakh youth voters. Notably, there are about 11.84 lakh first-time voters aged between 18 and 19.
