JAMCO to Establish Product Engineering Centre in Bengaluru to Boost Aerospace Sector

JAMCO is set to establish a Product Engineering Centre in Bengaluru, enhancing Karnataka's aerospace capabilities and expanding its presence in India's aviation market. This investment underscores the state's skilled workforce and robust aerospace ecosystem.

JAMCO has revealed plans to set up a Product Engineering Centre in Karnataka, boosting the State's aerospace sector. This new centre is expected to expand JAMCO's engineering presence in India and strengthen its role in the aviation market, according to a statement from Karnataka's Commerce and Industries Department.

The decision to invest in Karnataka highlights the region's appeal due to its skilled engineering workforce and established aerospace ecosystem. "JAMCO's decision to invest here is yet another endorsement of this strength," said Industries Commissioner Gunjan Krishna. A delegation led by JAMCO's Chief Operating Officer Sanjeev Sen and Board Chair Kate Schaefer met with the Commissioner to discuss investment details.

Investment in Aerospace Engineering

Following discussions, the Commissioner officially announced JAMCO's plan to establish its Product Engineering Centre in Bengaluru. The facility will focus on developing aircraft interior components for major global aviation companies like Boeing and Airbus. This initiative aims to enhance Karnataka's capabilities in producing globally certified aerospace products.

The investment reflects JAMCO's long-term commitment to Karnataka, as stated by the Commissioner. India's aviation market is rapidly growing, with Karnataka playing a crucial role in this expansion. Through JAMCO's efforts, next-generation cabin innovations are being developed, solidifying the State's position as a leading aerospace engineering hub.

Kate Schaefer praised the Government of Karnataka for its ongoing support and leadership in the aerospace sector. She emphasised JAMCO's confidence in Karnataka's engineering ecosystem, further endorsing the State's strength in attracting global investments.
