J&K: Schools along LoC shut for next 3 days amid cross-border shelling
The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday shut schools along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district after Pakistan violated the ceasefire on Wednesday.

"As a precautionary measure, some education institutions located along LoC in Nowshera shall remain closed for next 3 days in view of fresh ceasefire violation yesterday," said Rajouri's Deputy Commissioner Shahid Choudhary adding that there is no loss of life report as of now.
Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistani troops resorted to mortar shelling at various places along the border in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district from 10.35 am. The Indian army was retaliating strongly and effectively.
This was sixth ceasefire violation along the LoC in last five days.
