J&K: Former Sarpanch shot dead by terrorist in Kashmir's Shopian

A former sarpanch and a Democratic Party (PDP) worker was killed after unknown gunmen fired upon him in Nagbal area of Shopian district of south Kashmir. The incident happened on Monday night.

Reports said that Muhammad Ramzan Sheikh (50) was shot at by gunmen near his residence at Homun, Nagbal around 8:05 pm.

He was shifted to nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

They said forces have cordoned off the area to nab the assailants.
