Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday announced the allocation of portfolios to his ministers, marking the establishment of the first elected government in the union territory since its special status was revoked in 2019. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah had taken the oath of office as Chief Minister on Wednesday, signaling his second term in office. Along with Abdullah, five other ministers - Sakina Masood (Itoo), Javed Ahmad Dar, Javed Ahmed Rana, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, and Satish Sharma - were also sworn in to take on key roles in the administration.
