Irfan Pathan slammed for partying with Sania Mirza without wearing burqa

Majority of critics have pointed out that Pathan often posts pictures of his wife in hijab-clad avatar while he posted the photo with Mirza who did not wear a burqa.

Islamists nowadays are stooping to new lows and turning more toxic than ever. In the latest case, they have come down heavily on cricketer Irfan Pathan after he shared a video of him partying with tennis icon Sania Mirza.

They are upset with the cricketer as he posted the clip in which Sania was not seen wearing a burqa. "You have been unstoppable exactly like this song. So proud of your achievement. The real journey starts after retirement @MirzaSania #legend #tennis,[sic]" Pathan tweeted.

"Keeping your wife under hijab and make it private that's good thing you do but exploring yourself with some other women like this make you double standard and nalayak," a Twitter user Arman Khan (@laddukhans) slammed Pathan while another user responded, "Khud ke biwi pe kapada daal do.. aur dusre ko Twitter pe.."

"Biwi ko burkha and Sania ko nahi?" third user said. "Irfan bhai, sirf biwi ka hi parda nahi hai Islam me, mardo ko bhi gair mahram se door rahne ki hidayat hai.." fourth netizen claimed. "Aise kabhi apni wife ke sath bhi photo khichwaya kar bhai. Dusre ji wife bina parde ke aur apni parde main," another user added.

"He just doesn't let his wife come out of pardah and act like a very pious man and here you can see him just getting inches close to Sania Mirza. Yaha morality and modesty kaha gayeee," yet another user attacked Pathan. "Apni biwi ki sakal to dikhate nehi ho. Dusro ki biwi ke sath selfie lete hue Sharm nehi aata, [sic]" a netizen criticised the cricketer. "Irfan bhai aap bhi kamaal karte ho....dusro ki biwi ke kandhe pe hath aur khud ki biwi ko naqab waah," one more user added.

The majority have attacked Pathan because the former cricketer often posts pictures of his wife in hijab-clad avatar. Just a few days ago, he shared a video in which he is seen wishing his wife in the said avatar.

In 2021, Pathan was in the news after an aged man accused him of having an extra-marital relationship with daughter-in-law went viral, according to a report in OpIndia. "She has an affair with cricket Irfan Pathan, she sleeps with him," Opindia quoted the man named Syed as claiming in a video about his daughter-in-law, saying that she herself has admitted to the alleged affair.
