IP University Opens Admissions for 2026-27 with 24 New Courses Starting February 2

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has announced the opening of admissions for the 2026-27 academic year, introducing 24 new courses. The online application process begins on February 2, reflecting a commitment to enhance educational opportunities in Delhi.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has announced the opening of admissions for the 2026-27 academic year, introducing 24 new courses. This announcement was made during an event attended by Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood and Vice Chancellor Mahesh Verma. The university will start accepting online applications from February 2.

The university offers over 43,000 seats across more than 130 affiliated colleges and university schools. These institutions provide courses in engineering, law, medicine, management, design, and emerging fields like artificial intelligence, robotics, and data science. The addition of new courses aims to enhance educational opportunities in these areas.

New Courses and Educational Opportunities

This year's new programmes include Bachelor of Management Studies, MTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, BTech in Computer Science with specialisations in AI, Data Science, and Business Systems. Other additions are BSc Clinical Psychology, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and MA in Mass Communication weekend courses. New teacher education courses focusing on multiple disability specialisations have also been introduced.

The university has affiliated nine new institutions this year. Some programmes are already operational at its Narela campus, with plans for further expansion. Admissions will be conducted through a combination of common entrance tests and national-level exams such as JEE Main, NEET, CAT, CMAT, CLAT, and CUET.

Commitment to Public Education

Addressing the gathering, Ashish Sood highlighted the government's dedication to enhancing public education in Delhi. Reflecting on his student days, he noted that many students previously had to leave the city for higher education due to high fees. Institutions like IP University have helped change this scenario by providing affordable education options within the city.

A one-time application fee of Rs 2,500 will be applicable for candidates. Prospective students are advised to refer to the official brochure available on the university's website for detailed information about the admission process and course offerings.
