Inspired by Aamir Khan, 8-year-old girl donates piggy bank for Maharashtra farmers
Mumbai, Sept 21: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was impressed by one 8-year-old girl who has been identified as Rashika. The young girl, a big fan of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, came forward to help farmers in the state.
Rashika gave her piggy bank to help the farmers who have been suffering for drought. She recently met Fadnavis and urged him to use her money for the farmers who were hit by drought.

Speaking about Rashika and her decision to donate to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, her father Manoj Joshi was quoted as saying, "Rashika is a big fan of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan."
"After she saw the actor's pictures with the Chief Minister, she asked me what was the actor doing with him. I explained to her that he (Aamir) is giving a cheque to the Chief Minister for his relief fund which would help farmers who lost their crops due to the ongoing drought," he added.
Recently, Aamir Khan donated Rs 11 lakh to the Chief Minister's rural water conservation programme, Jalayukta Shivaar Abhiyaan.
Now, Aamir's photo with Fadnavis inspired Rashika to donate her money for the drought-affected farmers in the state. Rashika's move impressed Fadnavis.
Writing on micro-blogging site Twitter, Fadnavis tweeted Rashika's image and wrote, "Touched by the surprise contribution form Rasika Manohar Joshi. She donated her piggy bank for farmer's welfare."

Aamir Khan is not the sole actor who has been working for the farmers. Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar, Marathi film star Makarand Anaspure too are among those celebrities who have been trying to gather enough fund for the cause of the farmers.
