Infosys and Intel Collaborate to Propel Enterprise Growth with Generative AI
Infosys, a leading Indian IT services company, and Intel, the global chip powerhouse, have recently announced an expansion of their strategic partnership. This collaboration is set to propel global enterprises forward on their artificial intelligence (AI) journeys. The partnership aims to offer advanced AI solutions that not only drive cost-efficiency and performance but are also responsibly designed.

The initiative will see the launch of Infosys Topaz and Intel's collaborative efforts to boost enterprise growth and efficiency through Generative AI. This move is expected to democratize AI by integrating open standards in AI hardware and software stacks across various computing environments including edge, core, and cloud. Infosys Topaz, which represents an AI-first approach in services, solutions, and platforms, will incorporate Intel-based solutions such as Intel Xeon processors, Intel Gaudi accelerators, and Intel Core Ultra Processors. This integration facilitates the adoption of Generative AI technologies by businesses, ensuring they meet the emerging AI guardrails.
Furthermore, Infosys plans to utilize Intel's AI training resources to enhance its employees' skills in the Intel product portfolio. This initiative aims to equip Infosys with the expertise needed to deliver generative AI solutions to its extensive network of global customers across various industries.
Balakrishna D R, Executive Vice President, Global Services Head, AI and Industry Verticals at Infosys, highlighted the company's adoption of an AI-first strategy. He emphasized that Infosys Topaz offerings are designed to align with Intel's core stack and its AI Everywhere strategy, aiming to assist enterprises in becoming AI-first entities and accelerating business value through leading AI solutions.
Christoph Schell, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Intel Corporation, shared insights into the customer and developer demand for AI solutions that offer competitive total cost of ownership (TCO) and quick time-to-value. He underscored Intel's commitment to fostering an open AI software ecosystem and promoting the adoption of Intel Xeon and Gaudi accelerators for Generative AI applications. Schell expressed optimism about the collaboration with Infosys and local Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), viewing it as a significant opportunity for software development and tool creation that could facilitate wider adoption of Intel-based technology while optimizing TCO for customers.
This expanded partnership between Infosys and Intel marks a significant step towards enhancing AI capabilities for businesses worldwide. By leveraging each other's strengths, both companies aim to facilitate a smoother transition for enterprises striving to integrate AI into their operations effectively.
