Commitment to Diversity
Infosys is not just focusing on hiring; it's also committed to increasing women's representation in its workforce. Currently, out of over 320,000 employees, about 39% are women. The company aims to boost this figure to 45% by the year 2030 as part of its ESG vision.
Shaji Mathew, Infosys CHRO, highlighted the importance of this initiative: "Our ESG vision drives us to build a truly sustainable enterprise with inclusion as its core." He added that the programme encourages talented women in tech who've taken career breaks to 'Restart with Infosys' and re-enter the workforce.
Impactful Hiring Initiatives
This initiative has already shown significant results. In the fiscal year 2024-25 alone, Infosys hired over 900 women in mid-management roles through this programme. Additionally, they brought on board another 500 women in the previous year. Such efforts underline their commitment not only to their business but also to enhancing women's participation across the industry.
Last fiscal year saw Infosys hiring over 15,000 college graduates as well. The company's focus on diversity and inclusion is evident in these numbers and initiatives.
The "Restart with Infosys" programme is more than just a recruitment drive; it's an investment in fostering inclusion at scale. By encouraging women who have taken breaks from their careers to return, Infosys is setting an example for other companies in the industry.
