Indian Navy Recruitment 2024: 36 Officer Posts Up For Grabs; Check Eligibility Criteria, Dates, And More
The Indian Navy has announced that the application process for Permanent Commissioned Officers in the Executive and Technical branches under the 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Scheme will close on December 20, according to an NDTV report. Interested and eligible candidates are urged to apply before the deadline by visiting the official website of the Indian Navy for further details.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 36 vacancies in total.
Eligibility Criteria To Apply
1. Candidates must have completed their Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
2. They must have scored at least 70 per cent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and 50 per cent in English (either in Class 10 or Class 12).
3. Additionally, candidates should have appeared for the JEE (Main) 2024 exam, which is required for the BE/BTech course.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview based on their rank in the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2024, published by NTA.
Training And Education
Selected candidates will undergo a four-year BTech course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering, according to naval requirements. Upon successful completion, candidates will be awarded a BTech degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Medical Standards
Candidates recommended by the SSB will need to undergo a medical examination. The medical standards applicable for the 10+2 (BTech) entry are listed on the Indian Navy's official website. It is important to note that no relaxation in medical standards is allowed under any circumstances.
