Indian IT Sector's Role in Job Creation and Achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047: Anurag Thakur
Union Minister Anurag Thakur recently emphasized the central government's ambitious objective to transform India into a developed nation, termed 'Viksit Bharat', by the year 2047. During a gathering with IT professionals, Thakur highlighted the significant shift in governance and policy direction under the current administration, contrasting it with the challenges faced during the previous UPA government's tenure.

Thakur criticized the Congress-led UPA government for its involvement in various corruption scandals, suggesting that these incidents had severely hampered India's progress. He pointed out that younger generations might not fully remember or understand the impact of scams such as 2G, Commonwealth Games (CWG), AgustaWestland, and Coal scam that rocked the nation between 2009 and 2014. According to Thakur, these events led to a period of high inflation, stagnant growth, and policy paralysis.
The Union Minister lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as a beacon of hope who promised and delivered a corruption-free government since coming to power in 2014. Thakur praised Modi's vision for India, encapsulating it with the acronym MODI - Master of Digital Information and maker of developed India.
Highlighting the importance of digital innovation and talent in India, Thakur underscored the need for continuous learning and adaptation in the face of technological advancements. He stressed that artificial intelligence (AI) and IT professionals would play crucial roles in securing economic growth and job creation for India.
Furthermore, Thakur addressed recent controversies surrounding income tax notices issued to the Congress party. He criticized the party for failing to comply with tax filing requirements, suggesting such actions demonstrated a disregard for legal obligations. According to Thakur, this situation underscored the need for all political entities to adhere to the law without exception.
In conclusion, Anurag Thakur's address to IT professionals not only set forth a vision for India's future development but also reflected on past governance challenges. By drawing attention to the contrast between previous administrations and the current government's efforts towards transparency and digital innovation, Thakur underscored the BJP's commitment to achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047.
