Odisha Leaders Laud Indian Men's Hockey Team for Olympic Bronze

Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the Indian men's hockey team via video call for securing a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also announced a cash reward of Rs 4 crore for Amit Rohidas, who is from Odisha, Rs 15 lakh for other players, and Rs 10 lakh for supporting staff.

Patnaik highlighted his government's efforts to promote hockey during his conversation with the team. The Indian players responded by chanting "Jai Jagannath" and thanked Patnaik for his support. "Many, many congratulations to the Indian team from all of us in Odisha and in fact the whole of India. Very, very well done. We are so proud of you," Patnaik said.
