Rajnath Singh In All-Party Meeting: Operation Sindoor Ongoing, 100 Terrorists Eliminated In PoK Strikes
To inform opposition leaders about Operation Sindoor, the high-precision military campaign that attacked nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), the federal government called an all-party meeting on Thursday. The attacks were carried out as payback for the terror incident in Pahalgam on April 22 that killed 26 civilians.
The meeting was announced by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju soon after the cross-border strikes were carried out by the Indian military. The attack focused on the infrastructure of banned terrorist groups, like as Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Operation Sindoor is ongoing, 100 terrorists eliminated in cross-border strikes: Defence Minister
According to India TV During the meeting, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh informed political leaders that Operation Sindoor against Pakistan is still underway and that the situation along the border remains dynamic, according to sources. He stated that Indian military strikes on May 7 targeted 21 terror launchpads across Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan's Punjab, eliminating 100 terrorists.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the session was chaired by the Defence Minister, who provided a comprehensive update on the ongoing operation. Rijiju noted that all leaders present offered their inputs.
"Leaders from all parties demonstrated maturity during this critical time. Everyone expressed their appreciation for the armed forces' efforts in Operation Sindoor and assured full support to both the government and the military. Several valuable suggestions were also shared. As the Defence Minister emphasized, governance is about more than just holding power-it's about responsibility," Rijiju added.
Opposition backs Operation Sindoor, urges global action
Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said the party has extended full support to the government, while noting that some details were withheld during the briefing.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also backed the operation and suggested measures to increase international pressure on Pakistan. He recommended that India push for Pakistan's re-listing on the FATF grey list and launch a global campaign to designate The Resistance Front (TRF) as a terrorist organisation, including urging the U.S. to formally blacklist the group.
According to sources, the purpose of the conference is to give a thorough explanation of the goals of Operation Sindoor, the terror centres that were targeted and destroyed, and India's preparedness to react to any possible escalation from Pakistan.
