India cautiously responds to Irans missile strike on terror bases in Pakistan, acknowledging the concept of self-defense while emphasizing its unwavering commitment to combating terrorism.

In response to Iran's missile strike targeting terror bases in Pakistan, India has expressed its understanding of countries taking actions in self-defense. However, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, emphasized that India maintains an uncompromising position of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

Iran's Missile Strike

Tehran launched an unprecedented missile and drone strike on what it claimed were the bases of a terrorist group in the restive Balochistan province of Pakistan. Two bases of the Sunni Baloch militant group Jaish al-Adl were targeted by missiles and drones on Tuesday, according to Iranian state media.

Pakistan's Reaction

In response to the Iranian strike, Pakistan recalled its ambassador to Iran and suspended all planned high-level bilateral visits. Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Baloch stated that the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, who is currently visiting Iran, may not return to Islamabad for the time being. Pakistan also reserved the right to retaliate to the provocation by Iran.

India's Position

India's response to the Iran-Pakistan situation reflects its commitment to combating terrorism while acknowledging the right of countries to defend themselves. The country's unwavering stance against terrorism aligns with its efforts to maintain regional stability and security.
