India Plans 58 Special Flights To Gulf Region To Evacuate Stranded Travelers

Amid conflict in the middle east, Indian airlines are in the verge to operate 58 special flights between India and the Gulf region to assist passengers stranded in West Asia due to the ongoing regional conflict.

The move aims to ease travel disruptions caused by airspace restrictions and flight cancellations across the region.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation said it is closely monitoring the evolving situation and coordinating with airlines to ensure passengers receive necessary support.

Special Flights Planned for Today

According to the ministry, Indian carriers plan to run 58 flights between India and Gulf destinations in a single day.

Among these:

30 flights will be operated by IndiGo
23 flights will be run by Air India and Air India Express
The remaining flights will be managed by other Indian carriers

These additional services are being arranged to help stranded passengers return home or continue their journeys amid ongoing travel disruptions.

Thousands of Flights Cancelled Due to Conflict

1,221 flights operated by Indian airlines have been cancelled so far
388 flights by foreign carriers have also been cancelled
