India-Pakistan War Mock Drill: From First Aid, Cash, To Dry Food, Here's A List Of Items To Keep Handy
To avenge the deaths of 26 tourists, who were brutally killed in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, the Indian government has initiated a comprehensive civil defence preparedness program across the country. According to reports, India-Pakistan war mock drill will be held at 259 locations on Wednesday.
India-Pakistan war mock drill aims to train civilians on "what to do in a war-like situation or how to respond to emergency sirens". This training includes proper reactions to air raid warnings and blackout conditions.
A directive from the Home Ministry has called for mock security drills across all states to enhance emergency preparedness among the civilian population.

Here's a list of essential emergency supplies to be stored at every household:
- Water for at least 3 days
- Medical first aid kits which include Dettol, cotton, bandages, ointments, tablets for fever etc.
- Dry food items like biscuits, milk powder, dry fruits
- Torches and radios with batteries
- Candles
- Cash
The upcoming mock drills will not only cover the activation of warning systems but also include the inspection and maintenance of bunkers and trenches, which are vital for civilian protection during hostile attacks.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured the nation of a stringent response to the Pahalgam terror attack. He has pledged to track down those responsible "to the ends of the earth" and to administer punishment "beyond their imagination." Despite Pakistan's denial of involvement, initial investigations point towards a connection with terror groups based across the border. This situation has led India to take decisive diplomatic actions, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, and has sparked discussions on potential military responses following a series of high-level security meetings.
