'India Jeetega' Chants Fill The Air As Bashir Chacha Waves Pakistani Flag, Video Goes Viral

Bashir Chacha, the renowned Pakistani superfan, once again made a spirited appearance ahead of the highly-anticipated India-Pakistan cricket match, proudly waving the Pakistani flag. The video has gone viral on various social media platforms. His enthusiastic cries of "Jeetega bhai Jeetaga" (He will win, brother, he will win) echoed through the stadium, met with the response, "India hi jeetega" (India will win).

For those unfamiliar with Bashir Chacha, he is a Pakistani-born superfan of the Pakistan cricket team, currently residing in the United States of America. With unwavering dedication, he travels globally to support the Men in Green, a passion he has pursued for over three decades. Carrying the Pakistani flag, he journeys from one stadium to another, generously spending his own funds to bolster the spirits of his country's cricket team.

Earlier, it was reported that Bashir Chacha was detained by Hyderabad Police when he displayed the Pakistani flag at the airport to welcome Babar Azam and his team to India.

Bashir was among numerous fans who had gathered outside the airport to extend their warm welcome to the Pakistan team.

According to reports in Crictracker, Bashir cooperated with the police, presenting his travel documents and explaining his passionate support for the Pakistani cricket team. Following this brief interruption, the Pakistani Superfan was released from police custody, resuming his jubilant celebrations.

However, in a conversation with Sportstar, he said,"I was not subjected to detention or questioning at the airport when I was there to welcome the Pakistan team. It was simply a request not to display the Pakistan flag, citing security concerns. They briefly held my flag and returned it after the team's departure. The reception was wonderful, and I am delighted to be in India for the World Cup."
