He said that if family members are included, nearly 20 crore people’s hopes have been hurt. He alleged that this situation was created due to the policies and negligence of BJP-ruled states.
Sanjay Singh’s Allegations On NEET Paper Leak And Employment Crisis
Sanjay Singh said the padyatra was being carried out to raise issues related to jobs for youth, government recruitment, street vendors, cart pullers, and small shopkeepers. He alleged that bulldozer actions in several cities destroyed the livelihoods of poor people without any alternative arrangements being provided by authorities.
Mentioning Prayagraj, Kashi, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Meerut, and Ghaziabad, he claimed that thousands of small traders and poor families had been displaced. According to him, these people neither received adequate compensation nor proper rehabilitation plans.
Sanjay Singh Targets Government Over Inflation And Fuel Taxes
Speaking on inflation, Sanjay Singh directly attacked the central government. He claimed that over the last 12 years, the Centre collected nearly Rs 44 lakh crore through taxes on petrol and diesel.
He alleged that despite collecting such a massive amount, no relief was given to common consumers.
Sanjay Singh also claimed that oil companies earned nearly Rs 3.5 lakh crore in profits during the same period. He said that even when global crude oil prices were between 20 and 30 dollars per barrel, petrol and diesel prices were not reduced.
According to him, mainstream media failed to raise serious questions on the issue.
He further alleged that after war began in Central Asia, the Adani Group increased gas prices nearly three times. Sanjay Singh claimed that international situations were now being used as a justification to impose additional burdens on the public instead of providing relief.

Remarks On Social Justice And Constitution
Speaking about social justice, Sanjay Singh said caste-based discrimination still exists in the country.
According to him, Dalits are still stopped from riding horses at weddings in some places, while in others they are insulted at temple entrances despite laws guaranteeing equality.
He said the Constitution written by B. R. Ambedkar gives every citizen equal rights, dignity, opportunity, and protection.
Sanjay Singh claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party is fighting for those constitutional rights and said this was the main message of the padyatra.
He appealed to ASHA workers, Shiksha Mitras, employment workers, and unemployed youth to join the movement. According to him, the fight for employment concerns everyone whose rights are being affected by policies and decisions.
Questions Raised On Gold Prices And Economic Policies
Sanjay Singh also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal asking people not to buy gold for a year.
He said gold prices had reached nearly Rs 1.5 lakh per tola and questioned how ordinary citizens surviving on ration support could even think of purchasing gold.
He alleged that most gold would instead be found with “friends of the Prime Minister.”
Mentioning Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi, he alleged that both fled abroad after taking thousands of crores of rupees, while the government failed to take strict action.
He demanded reduction in petrol and diesel taxes and called for subsidies for people in need. According to him, companies should also bear some losses during difficult times instead of passing the entire burden onto citizens.
Comments On Foreign Tours And Election Process
Commenting on Prime Minister Modi’s foreign visits, Sanjay Singh said that while people in India are struggling with expensive fuel and unemployment, the Prime Minister is on a five-country tour.
He also alleged that while Modi avoids Indian Muslims politically, he has no hesitation in embracing leaders of Muslim countries abroad.
On SIR and election-related issues, Sanjay Singh claimed that he had already warned about one-sided elections in Bihar through the SIR process.
According to him, lakhs of voter names were added and removed during West Bengal elections as well, raising questions over fairness.
He said opposition parties and the public would have to unite to ensure honest elections.
Attack On “Politics Of Hatred”
Sanjay Singh said politics of hatred should stop in the country because it benefits nobody.
He urged people to reject what he described as BJP’s divisive politics and claimed that Arvind Kejriwal focuses on education, healthcare, and welfare politics, while the BJP promotes riots and hatred.
He warned that arrogance of power could become dangerous for democracy.
According to him, India’s freedom fighters entered politics not for power, but for national interest and public welfare.
He also alleged that under the BJP government many government schools were shut down, healthcare systems weakened, and inflation reached extreme levels, affecting poor and middle-class families the most.
Padyatra Continues Across Uttar Pradesh
Sanjay Singh said four phases of the padyatra had already been completed and each phase received strong public support.
According to him, the movement was being strengthened by ordinary people, including 70-year-old Shivram Singh dancing to patriotic songs and a tribal elderly man from Sonbhadra who continues the journey barefoot.
He said the padyatra is a struggle for employment, social justice, and dignity.
The eight-phase padyatra will continue across different parts of Uttar Pradesh. Sanjay Singh appealed to people to join the campaign against corruption, unemployment, and social injustice by giving a missed call on 7500040004.
He said India would function according to Dr. Ambedkar’s Constitution and claimed the Aam Aadmi Party would continue fighting to protect secular India.
The fifth phase of the padyatra formally began from Commissioner Park in Meerut after paying tribute to martyrs and garlanding the statue of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh.
The march, running from May 16 to May 20 between Meerut and Ghaziabad, witnessed large gatherings and public receptions at several locations throughout the route.
