In Nagaland, Meghalaya, candidates got richer over 5 years
The candidates contesting the Nagaland and Meghalaya elections have got richer over the past five years. While in Nagaland the average assets of a candidate are Rs 4.31 crore, in Meghalaya it is Rs 11.9 crore.

The data has been provided by the Association for Democratic Reforms.
Nagaland:

- Average growth in assets of Re-Contesting MLAs from 2013 to 2018: The growth in average assets of Re-Contesting MLAs is Rs 1.24 crores i.e. by 41%.
