BHP against VHP: Now Congress leader forms Bharatiya Hindu Parishad to counter Sangh pariwar
New Delhi, Jan 9: After scrutinizing Lok Sabha election result closely, one point can be easily deduced that Hindu votes completely went into Modi-led BJP's kitty. That is the reason BJP got the huge mandate first in Parliamentary election and then in successive Assembly elections in States.
It is being said that congress is much worried about this polarization theory. Many of the leaders even have suggested to find out the reason why 'Hindu vote' is moving toward the saffron party.

At a time when Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi are still struggling to allure disenchanted Hindu voters back to Congress fold, one of the party leader in Karnataka has decided to form an organization which will preach soft Hindutva philosophy. Apparently, the organization will work on the similar line as VHP.
Hemanth Shetty who is the block unit president of the party in Puttur has announced to form Bharatiya Hindu Parishad (BHP). Puttur, a Hindutva hotspots was the fiefdom of the BJP leader Union Law Minister DV Sadananda Gowda. The Assembly seat was wrested out by Congress in 2013 State election.
On asking about this latest move, Shetty assertively said as quoted by ET, "Hindu has come to mean BJP, Hindutva and the Sangh Parivar. But that is not true. I am in the Congress and I am a proud Hindu. These people have distorted the meaning of the religion and are using it for their political ends. My organisation is going to counter it".
