Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Questions Why Lord Krishna Cannot Smile Like Lord Ram in Ayodhya

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed that if Lord Ram can smile in Ayodhya, then Lord Krishna should also be celebrated. His comments come amid ongoing legal disputes regarding the Shahi Idgah Mosque and Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed that if Lord Ram can smile in his Ayodhya temple, then Lord Krishna should also be able to smile. Yadav made these remarks during the closing ceremony of the Bhagwat Katha in Vrindavan, organised by cabinet minister Rakesh Sharma. The event celebrated Operation Sindoor's success and honoured martyrs.

Yadav stated, "We have seen Ramlalla smiling in Ayodhya...when Ramlalla is smiling, what is wrong if Krishna Kanhaiya also smiles? This should also be a source of joy. The sound is coming from all directions," he said.

Context of the Shahi Idgah Masjid Case

The Shahi Idgah Masjid-Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi case in Mathura is currently under consideration at the Allahabad High Court. The Hindu side seeks the demolition of the Shahi Eidgah Mosque and repossession of the land. Meanwhile, the Muslim side defends the mosque's legal status, referencing a 1968 agreement and the Places of Worship Act of 1991.

Although Mohan Yadav did not directly address this case, his comments are perceived within this context. He suggested that those with hearing or vision issues should address them, implying that clarity is needed on certain matters.

Yadav's remarks highlight ongoing tensions surrounding religious sites in India. His statements reflect broader discussions about historical claims and current legal battles over religious properties.
