ICAI Exam Result 2024: Shivam Mishra and Kushagra Roy Lead In CA Final And Intermediate Exams; Check The List

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results for the CA Final and Intermediate exams today, July 11. Along with the results, ICAI also released the list of toppers for both exams. This year, Shivam Mishra from New Delhi emerged as the top scorer in the CA Final May 2024 exams, securing 500 out of 600 marks. In the CA Intermediate May 2024 exams, Kushagra Roy achieved the highest score with 583 out of 600 marks.

For the CA Final May 2024 exams, the top three rank holders are Shivam Mishra, Varsha Arora, and the duo Kiran Rajendra Singh Manral and Ghilman Saalim Ansari, who share the third position.

CA Final May 2024: Pass Percentage

The pass percentage for the CA Final Group I is 27.35 per cent, with 20,479 candidates passing out of 74,887 who appeared. For Group II, the pass percentage is 36.35 per cent, with 21,408 out of 58,891 candidates passing. The pass percentage for candidates who appeared for both groups is 19.88 per cent, with 7,122 out of 35,819 candidates clearing the exams.

CA Intermediate May 2024: Toppers

In the CA Intermediate May 2024 exams, the top three rank holders are Kushagra Roy, followed by Yuj Sachin Kariya and Yogya Lalit Chandak in the second position, and Manjit Singh Bhatia and Hiresh Kashiramka in the third position.

CA Intermediate May 2024: Pass Percentage

The pass percentage for CA Intermediate Group I is 27.15 per cent, with 31,978 candidates passing out of 117,764 who appeared. For Group II, the pass percentage is 36.35 per cent, with 13,008 out of 71,145 candidates passing. The pass percentage for candidates who appeared for both groups is 19.88 per cent, with 11,041 out of 59,956 candidates clearing the exams.

Candidates who appeared for the exams can check and download their results by visiting the official ICAI website, icai.nic.in. On the homepage, they need to select the link for the CA Intermediate May 2024 result or the CA Final May 2024 result. After entering their credentials on the new portal that appears, the results will be displayed, and candidates can download and keep a copy for future reference.

How Are CA Exams Conducted?

1. The CA Foundation Exam is the first step in the Chartered Accountancy journey. Conducted thrice a year in June, September, and January, students can take this exam after registering with the Board of Studies (BoS) post-Class 10. Eligibility is attained after completing Class 12.

2. The CA Intermediate Exam is the second level and consists of two groups, each with three subjects. To qualify, students must pass the CA Foundation exam or hold a graduate degree.

3. The CA Final Exam is the last stage in becoming a Chartered Accountant. Students can enrol during their articleship period, but only after clearing both groups of the CA Intermediate exam. The CA Final level has two groups, each with four papers.

CA Exams Eligibility Criteria

1. For the CA Foundation exam: Students must pass Class 12 or an equivalent exam with at least 50 per cent marks.

2. For the CA Intermediate exam: There are two routes:
a) CA Foundation Route: Students must pass the CA Foundation exam with an overall score of 50 per cent and at least 40 per cent in each subject.
b) Direct Entry Route: Graduates can apply directly with 55 per cent marks for commerce students and 60 per cent for science students in their graduation.

3. For the CA Final exam: Students must pass both groups of the CA Intermediate exam and complete at least 2.5 years of articleship training.
