I wish it was a dream says Indian shot at Kansas

I wish it was a dream said Alok Madasani who was shot at in a bar in Kansas last Thursday. Madasani survived the shooting, but his friend Srinivas Kuchibhotla died in the incident. There has been an outpouring of grief and Madasani told a crowd at the Ball Conference in Olathe, Kansas that what transpired was a senseless crime.

Srinivas was shot dead by a US navy veteran after he is said to have yelled, "get out of my country." The Associated Press reported Madasani saying, " the main reason I am here is for my best friend. That is what he would have done too," Madasani also said.

Speaking about his deceased friend, Madasani said, " he waited till I bought a car. That is the kind of guy he was. The shooting was an isolated incident that does not reflect on the true spirit of Kansas, the Midwest and the United States," he also said.
