Hyderabad: Charminar Express Derailed, 50 Passengers Injured
As per the latest reports, at least 50 people were injured after the Charminar Express derailed on Wednesday, January 10. The reports suggest that Charminar Express hit the side wall of a platform at the Nampally Railway Station which triggered panic among the commuters. The Railway police swiftly reacted to the derailment and admitted the injured commuters to the Lalaguda Railway Hospital for treatment.
According to the reports, the Charminar Express en route from Chennai to Hyderabad met with an accident after the loco pilot did not pay attention to the dead-end line. Two bogies were reportedly derailed. However, no casualties have been reported by the Hyderabad Railway authorities yet.

In view of the derailment, operations at Hyderabad's Nampally Railway Station are likely to be affected and some trains may run late.
