How this valiant housekeeper killed a terrorist and saved the day at Kupwara
Naik Rishi the housekeeper at the Kupwara Army camp saved the day for the Army. In the attack three Army personnel including a Captain were martyred. Rishi spotted the three terrorists trying to flee. He blocked them and managed to kill one of them.

Rishi was hit on his headgear which saved his life. He was then hit on the hand by terrorists. The three terrorists of the Jaish-e-Mohammad had breached two layers of fencing to enter the Army camp. The patrol party of the Indian Army which comprised five men engaged the terrorists.
The first round of the encounter lasted around seven minutes in which one solider lost his life. Another round of firing commenced in which two soldiers were killed. The terrorists then tried to flee when Rishi came into the picture and tried to stop them. It was his valiant efforts that ensured that two of the three terrorists were killed. Search operations are still on for the third terrorist.
Post the attack the Army had to deal with the menace of stone pelters. Amidst chants of 'Azaadi Azaadi,' they demanded that the two bodies of the terrorists be handed over for burial. The Army then opened fire in which one civilian was killed.
