How Chhota Rajan was arrested
New Delhi, Oct 26: A team of the Research and Analysis Wing along with other authorities would fly in to Indonesia following the arrest of underworld don, Chhota Rajan.
We are in touch with the authorities over there, an officer with the R&AW informed OneIndia while also adding that there was information about his whereabouts while he was in Australia.

Rajan had been under the watch of the Interpol and he is said to have been traced in Australia last July. He had remained undercover for several years, but it was said that his cover was blown away by some of his aides.
The Australian police had identified Rajan, but had taken time to ascertain whether he was the right person. He had in fact moved away from Newcastle and shifted to an unidentified place in Australia.
The authorities coordinating with the Indian agencies kept a watch on him for several months. They learnt about his travel plans to Bali in Indonesia.
The Interpol along with the authorities in India, Australia and Indonesia kept a close watch on his movements. While he landed at the airport, he was detained and taken in for questioning.
An officer with the R&AW said that the Intepol has got the right man. We will dispatch a team to Bali to get further details. We will need to seek his extradition as he is wanted in India.
There are certain formalities remaining which need to be completed following which he will be brought down to India and probed, the officer also informed.
