Horrific selfie claims teen’s life near Chennai

Chennai, Feb 1: A 16-year-old boy died near Chennai when he was attempting to take a selfie with a speeding train in the background.

The victim identified as Class 11 student was hit by a speeding train when he was trying to capture himself in a selfie with an electric train.

The Class 11 student, Dinesh, was run over by the train while attempting the photograph of himself with an electric train on way back from a zoological park in the area.

Last month, a college girl and a youth, who jumped into the waters to save her, drowned in the sea off Bandra Bandstand in Mumbai. After the incident, Mumbai police created 16 no-selfie zones in the city.

A 23-year-old tourist also killed while taking at the Mehrangarh Fort in Rajasthan's Jodhpur city on January 19 .
