Meghalaya Police Investigation

Indore's Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajesh Dandotia, confirmed that a 12-member Meghalaya Police team departed for Shillong with the accused: Raj Kushwah, Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi. They had secured transit custody from a local court. The murder of Raghuvanshi on May 23 in Meghalaya has drawn significant attention.

Following the murder, Raghuvanshi's wife, Sonam, who is the prime suspect, reportedly visited Indore. An official stated that Sonam stayed in a rented flat in Dewas Naka from May 25 to 27. However, detailed information about her stay is expected from Meghalaya Police.

Forensic Examination

Assistant Commissioner of Police Poonamchandra Yadav revealed that based on Vishal Chauhan's information, clothes he wore during the murder were seized from his residence. These items will be sent to a forensic lab to check for blood stains. This step is part of ongoing efforts to gather evidence related to the case.

The police allege that Raja Raghuvanshi, a 29-year-old transport businessman on his honeymoon in Meghalaya, was killed by his wife Sonam. She allegedly orchestrated the murder with her lover Raj Kushwah and three hired killers. This shocking crime has captured national attention due to its brutal nature and complex motives.

The investigation continues as authorities piece together details surrounding this high-profile case. The involvement of multiple parties and cross-state elements adds layers to the ongoing probe. As more information emerges, law enforcement aims to bring clarity and justice to this tragic event.
