Holding baby girl, woman jumps off moving train in UP

Meerut, Jan 14: A woman jumped in front of a moving train while holding her one-and-a-half-month old baby girl in the city's Partapur area, police said today.

30-year-old Poonam allegedly had a dispute with her husband Vivek since past few months, following which she took the extreme step last night, a police spokesperson said.

The woman and her baby died on the spot, he said. Police has sent the woman's body for post-mortem. The deceased's relatives have also been informed.
