At the outset, he alleged, "Congress Party has been trying for the last three generations to remove Sardar Patel's name from the heart and mind of the people of the country."

"Today, entire state of Himachal Pradesh is in the clutches of the Mafia, these are forest mafia and some transfer mafia," he said.

For the last three years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been working for public welfare and our opponents have not been able to charge corruption charge against us.

"Only BJP can develop Himachal Pradesh. Himachal needs a government that should work to shoulder with PM Modi" he added.

Amit Shah is campaigning in the state for five days and address rallies at Toki in Indora and Rajgarh in Pachhad on 31 October and in Seraj and Hamirpur on 1 November. The state is going to polls on 9 November 2017. The term of current Legislative Assembly ends on 7 January 2018. Since 2013, the Indian National Congress Party is in power with 36 seats.
