Joint Indo-Nepal Border Patrol Conducted Amid Heightened Security Alert in Uttar Pradesh
Indian and Nepalese security forces conducted a joint patrol along the Indo-Nepal border on Friday, officials reported. This initiative was part of a heightened security alert in sensitive border areas to ensure robust security and prevent cross-border threats. A high alert has been declared due to the prevailing sensitivity in the region, according to police officials.

In Bahraich district, areas like Rupaidiha, Motipur, Nawabganj, Sujauli, and Kotwali Murtiha share a border with Nepal. Local police forces, the Central Paramilitary Force SSB, and senior police officials coordinated with Nepal's Armed Police Force APF for joint patrolling and extensive checking on Friday. This effort aimed to strengthen border vigilance and deter any suspicious activity.
Security Forces Enhance Border Vigilance
Authorities confirmed that special attention was given to sensitive areas along the border during the operation. Individuals and vehicles moving through the region underwent thorough checks. Communication was established with residents to encourage reporting of suspicious activities. The police and SSB assured the public they are fully alert and prepared to act swiftly against any threat.
Residents were urged to remain vigilant and report any anti-social or unusual activity immediately. Additional Superintendent of Police Rural, Durga Prasad Tiwari, Circle Officer of Mihipurwa, Harshita Tiwari, and SSB Assistant Commandant Badal Parihar were present during the intensified checking operation around the Chitalhwa post near the Nepal border in the Mihipurwa region, along with other police officers and personnel.
This joint effort by Indian and Nepalese forces highlights the importance of cooperation in maintaining security along international borders. By working together, they aim to prevent any potential threats and ensure peace in these sensitive regions.
