Heavy rains lash few parts of east UP

Lucknow, Aug 28: Heavy rains and thundershowers occurred at few places over eastern Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the western region in the last 24 hours.

Chief amount of rainfall in cms was Ayodhya-9, Bansi- 7, Thakurdwara, Kakrahi, Mirzapur 6 each, Chandradeepghat and Karchana-5 each, according to Met department here.

Rain or thundershowers would occur at a few places over east UP and at isolated places over west UP tomorrow, it said.
