HC orders to conduct draw for giving licenses to sell firecrackers in Punjab and Haryana
Also, the high court allowed bursting of crackers between 6:30 pm-9:30 pm.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday ordered to conduct draw for giving licenses to sell firecrackers in the two states and the union territory of Chandigarh.

Also, the high court allowed bursting of crackers between 6:30 pm-9:30 pm.
But, permission comes with the caution that PCR vans will keep a check on flouting of order.
Concerned over the pollution from fireworks, the high court had issued notices to the two states and the Union territory of Chandigarh asking them to furnish details of licences issued for sale of crackers.
The development comes days after the Supreme Court banned the sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR till November 1.
