Hathras Stampede Horror - Here's What New Theory Revealed!

A tragic incident unfolded last week in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, where 121 people lost their lives during a religious gathering dedicated to preacher Bhole Baba.

Singh claims that the stampede was a deliberate act. He stated, "It was a heart-wrenching incident. A conspiracy was involved, with 15-16 people participating. Permission for the event was obtained, and a map was attached to the permission. However, some unidentified vehicles were present at the site of the stampede."

Further, he added, "Ten to twelve people sprayed poison, causing women to collapse and many to die due to breathlessness. The conspirators fled the scene. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) and SP Hathras are investigating. The CCTV footage should be seized to identify those vehicles. It was all planned," he claimed, reported PTI.

Hathras stampede Tragedy

Preliminary investigation reports indicate that the organizers had secured permission for an event with a maximum attendance of 80,000. However, over 250,000 people attended the gathering, as reported by Hindustan Times. The stampede is believed to have occurred when Bhole Baba's supporters rushed to collect mud from the path where the preacher had walked.

On Saturday, Suraj Pal Singh, also known as "Bhole Baba," addressed the Hathras stampede, stating that those responsible for the chaos would not go unpunished. "I am deeply saddened by the incident of July 2. May God give us the strength to bear this pain. Please keep faith in the government and the administration. I have faith that those who created the chaos will not be spared. Through my lawyer AP Singh, I have requested the members of the committee to support the bereaved families and the injured throughout their lives," said Bhole Baba, as reported by Hindustan Times.

The main accused, Devprakash Madhukar, surrendered to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) last week. AP Singh, the lawyer, had indicated that he would not file for anticipatory bail, asserting that his clients had not done anything wrong. The Uttar Pradesh government has established a three-member probe panel under the leadership of Justice (retd) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, as per media reports.

The panel has appealed to the public to provide video recordings of the event and the stampede. The panel is expected to complete its investigation within the next two months. Nine individuals, including Madhukar, have been arrested in connection with the stampede.
