Haryanvi Singer Raju Punjabi Passes Away At 40, Fans Mourn The Loss Of 'King Of Tunes'

Renowned Haryanavi singer Raju Punjabi, aged 40, passed away on Tuesday. According to reports from India TV, Raju had been undergoing treatment for jaundice at a private hospital in Hisar, Haryana. Although he had been discharged a few days earlier after showing signs of improvement, his health took a turn for the worse, leading to his readmission.

Reportedly, Raju's initial release from the hospital was following an improvement in his health condition. However, his health subsequently deteriorated, prompting his return to the hospital. Singer KD Desi Rock shared a hospital bed photo of Raju, captioned with a plea, "Raju wapas aaja (Raju, come back)."

The news of the singer's demise has left his fans in shock. One user expressed, "A significant loss in the realm of music, the cherished king of melodies, our dear brother Raju Punjabi ji has bid farewell to the world." Another comment reflected, "A deeply sorrowful announcement. Esteemed Haryanvi singer #RajuPunjabi ji is no longer with us today. The father of three young children, Raju Punjabi held a special place in the entire Haryanvi industry."

An Instagram user shared, "Today, we mourn the passing of our dear brother Raju Punjabi. May he rest in peace. Om Shanti." Another voice added, "Your legacy will be missed, legend." A sentiment was conveyed, "We pray to the divine for the departed soul to find eternal peace at His feet. Om Shanti."

A few days prior, Raju had released his final song titled "Aapse Milke Yaara Humko Accha Laga Tha" (We felt good meeting you, friend). His last Instagram post also pertained to this song, as he shared a video collage on August 20 with a simple caption, "Aapse Milke Yara Humko Achha Laga."

Raju Punjabi was recognized for his compositions like "Aacha Lage Se," "Desi Desi," "Tu Cheez Lajawab," "Last Peg," and "Bhang Mere Yaara Ne," among several others. He had also collaborated with Sapna Choudhary on a project.
