Haryana Violence: Schools, Colleges To Remain Closed On Monday Ahead Of Shobha Yatra
Schools, colleges, and banks will remain closed on Monday, August 28 in Haryana's Nuh district to avoid clashes during the Shobha yatra that will take place in the state.

The Nuh district administration has directed the schools, colleges, and banks to remain closed on August 28. According to Nuh Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata, "We have directed schools, colleges, and banks to remain shut on August 28. Borders have also been sealed to avoid any untoward situation."

Sarv Jatiya Hindu Mahapanchayat organised Shobha Yatra in Haryana's Nuh although police authorities and the Haryana Government denied giving permission.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar who was in Panchkula on Sunday claimed that permission has not been granted for the 'yatra' keeping in mind the Nuh violence that took place broke out on 31 July.
Earlier on Saturday, the Haryana government ordered the suspension of mobile internet and the bulk SMS services in the communally charged Nuh till August 28 in view of the call for a 'Shobha Yatra'. The government announced the decision apprehending the spread of rumours through social media by anti-social elements ahead of or during the rally called to be held on Monday.
The suspension order was issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) T V S N Prasad on Saturday.
The Haryana government had earlier suspended the mobile internet services in Nuh after the breaking out of communal clashes.
Six people, including two home guards and a cleric, had died in the communal clashes that erupted in Nuh when a religious procession of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) was attacked by a mob on July 31. ''... This order is issued to prevent disturbance of peace and public order in the jurisdiction of district Nuh and shall be in force with effect from August 26, 1200 hrs, to August 28, 2359 hrs..,'' the order issued by Prasad read.
