Haryana Polls LIVE: Scuffle Erupts Between Followers After Attack On Meham Candidate Balraj Kundu
Haryana Polls 2024: Voting for Haryana's 90 Assembly seats began smoothly, but minor disturbances were reported. A significant altercation occurred at polling booth No. 134 in the Maham constituency. The clash involved Balraj Kundu of the Haryana Jan Seva Party and Anand Singh Dangi's supporters. During the incident, Kundu's personal assistant's kurta was torn when tensions escalated.
Kundu claimed that Dangi orchestrated the attack due to fear of losing, as Dangi's son, Balram Dangi, was contesting on a Congress ticket from Maham. "When I went to room 134 for inspection, even Dangi, who is not a candidate, forced his way into the room and assaulted me," Kundu stated. "My PA was beaten up," he added.

Allegations and Investigation
Kundu further accused Anand Singh Dangi of bringing 20-25 individuals to engage in violence and attempt fraudulent voting. "They attacked me when I was trying to avoid their fraudulent votes," he said. Following this incident, police and other officials intervened to manage the situation. Additional officers were deployed for security.
The authorities are currently investigating these allegations thoroughly. The situation remains tense as they work to ensure fair voting practices are upheld throughout the election process.
