Exit Poll Results For Haryana Elections 2024: When And Where To Watch
Voting for the Haryana assembly elections will take place on October 5 in a single phase. The political scene in this northern state is marked by intense competition between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Congress. The BJP faces significant anti-incumbency sentiment, while the Congress is striving to reclaim power from the current administration.
A total of 1,031 candidates are contesting in this year's assembly elections, which come just months after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In the general elections, the BJP managed to retain 5 out of the 10 seats it won in 2019, while the Congress regained the other 5.

Voting will occur on October 5 from 7 AM to 6 PM. Following the conclusion of voting, exit polls will be released at 6:30 PM, in accordance with guidelines set by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Past Election Results
In 2019, Haryana experienced a hung assembly, with no major party achieving a clear majority. The BJP secured 40 seats, followed by Congress with 31 seats, and the JJP with 10 seats. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won just one seat, while other parties collectively gained 8 seats.
The majority mark in the Haryana assembly is 45. Consequently, the BJP formed an alliance with the Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, and Manohar Lal Khattar became Chief Minister. However, this coalition collapsed in March this year, leading to Khattar's resignation. On the same day, Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as Chief Minister, currently leading a minority government since three independents withdrew their support in May 2024.
