Haryana Assembly Election: Congress' Kumari Selja Gets BJP's Offer? HLP Chief Gopal Kanda Reacts

A major controversy has erupted before the run-up to the Haryana Assembly elections.

The political atmosphere has heated up around Congress leader Kumari Selja. BJP has extended an offer to her to join the saffron party.

Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal, during an event, said that Kumari Selja has been disrespected in Congress.

He added, "We have brought many leaders with us, and we are ready to bring her along as well."

Following this, veteran Haryana leader and Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) chief Gopal Kanda also reacted on the issue.

Kanda said, "Kumari Selja is a senior leader who belongs to the Dalit community. Congress has insulted her and used unparliamentary language against her."

When asked about his equation with the ruling BJP in Haryana, Kanda said, "They (BJP) have supported us in the past, and we strive to continue with our alliance this time as well. Manohar Lal Khattar has also openly expressed his support to our party."

He also added that HLP will clean sweep the Sirsa seat this time.
