Haryana Announces 4% DA Hike For Government Employees, Pensioners
Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Haryana government announced a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners. The revised rate, now at 50%, will be effective from January 1, 2024, according to an official statement.

"The increased DA will be included in the March 2024 salary of government employees... Additionally, arrears for January and February will be disbursed in May," the statement read.
The state government has also issued orders to provide Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners and family pensioners, effective from January 1, 2024. They will receive DR along with their March 2024 pension/family pension, payable in April 2024, with arrears for January and February 2024 to be paid in May 2024.
