Celebrate India's 78th Independence with Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and Tiranga Bike Rally
The third edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be observed from August 9 to 15, commemorating the 78th Independence Day, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced on Thursday. This initiative aims to foster patriotism and national pride by encouraging every Indian to hoist the national flag.

Shekhawat urged citizens to display the tricolour at their homes, take a selfie with the flag, and upload it on the HGT portal. He highlighted that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign began under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav banner in 2022 and has since evolved into a people's movement.
Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign's Growth
In its inaugural year, the campaign saw the national flag hoisted at over 23 crore homes, with six crore people uploading selfies with the flag on the HGT portal. The Culture Ministry stated that in 2023, more than 10 crore selfies were uploaded under this campaign.
A notable feature of this year's campaign is a special Tiranga Bike Rally involving members of Parliament. Scheduled for August 13, the rally will commence from Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, and conclude at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, passing through India Gate.
The minister emphasised that this initiative is designed to instil a sense of unity and pride among citizens. By participating in this campaign, individuals contribute to a collective expression of national pride.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign's success reflects its widespread acceptance and participation across the country. It has become a significant event that brings together people from various walks of life to celebrate India's independence.
As the campaign continues to grow, it serves as a reminder of the importance of national symbols and their role in uniting citizens. The initiative encourages everyone to actively participate in celebrating India's heritage and achievements.
This year's campaign promises to be even more impactful with increased participation and enthusiasm from citizens nationwide. The Tiranga Bike Rally is expected to draw significant attention and further promote the spirit of patriotism.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign not only celebrates India's independence but also strengthens the bond between citizens and their nation. It is an opportunity for everyone to come together and express their love for their country.
By hoisting the national flag and sharing selfies on the HGT portal, citizens can collectively showcase their pride in being Indian. This simple act of displaying the tricolour at home symbolises unity and respect for the nation's history and values.
The campaign's continued success depends on active participation from all citizens. As more people join in, it reinforces the message of unity and patriotism that Har Ghar Tiranga stands for.
Overall, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is a powerful initiative that brings Indians together to celebrate their shared identity and heritage. It is a testament to the enduring spirit of patriotism that binds the nation.
