Director Assaults Colleague Over Ongoing Case at Gurugram Club

A private company director in Gurugram allegedly assaulted his co-director and threatened to kill him during a party at a club. The incident occurred on Wednesday night, and an FIR has been registered against the accused.

In a shocking incident, a private company director was allegedly assaulted and threatened by his co-director during a party at a club in Gurugram. The incident took place on Wednesday around 9.15 pm at a club in 32nd Milestone during a party organized by a software company.

The Incident

According to the police, the victim, Mani Varshney, and the accused, Mukesh Kumar Kulari, both directors of the same private company, were present at the party. Varshney alleged that Kulari approached him and threatened him to withdraw an ongoing case. When Varshney refused, Kulari allegedly thrashed him. Kulari's friend, Aditya, also allegedly punched Varshney.

Intervention and Further Threats

People present at the party intervened and separated the two men, but the accused duo allegedly continued to threaten Varshney, even going so far as to threaten to kill him.

Legal Action

Based on Varshney's complaint, an FIR was registered at the Civil Lines police station against Kulari and Aditya under sections 323 (causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code on Thursday. The police have stated that they are investigating the case from all angles and have sought the CCTV footage from the club premises. The accused are expected to be arrested soon.

This incident highlights the importance of maintaining civility and resolving disputes peacefully, especially in professional settings. Violence and threats have no place in resolving disagreements, and the law will take its course to ensure justice for the victim.
