Gujarat Cop Rescues Baby During Cyclone Biparjoy; Video Is Winning Hearts Online

A video of a lady cop cradling a four-day-old baby in her arms during the cyclone Biparjoy evacuation operations in Gujarat has come to light. The incident occurred in Barda Dungar in Gujarat.

Gujarat minister Mulubhai Bera shared the wonderful clip on Twitter and wrote, "Bhanwad's administration is vigilant to ensure security through the service...The mother who gave birth four days ago in Barda Dungar was shifted to a safe place along with the child by the police system considering the situation of Cyclone Biparjoy."

The official Twitter account of the Director General of Police, Gujarat, hailed the police force and said "If you are with #GujaratPolice, you are in absolutely safe hands. @CMOGuj @sanghaviharsh @GujaratPolice. [sic]"

In the clip, which has now gone viral, the lady cop is carrying the baby, which was reportedly born a few days ago, and the mother of the newborn along with other women is seen following the cop.

The video is winning the hearts of the netizens.

It has to be noted that about 1 lakh people were evacuated from the coastal and low-lying areas of Gujarat.

After churning across the Arabian Sea for more than 10 days, Cyclone Biparjoy made landfall near Jakhau Port in Gujarat on Thursday and left a trail of destruction in the western coastal state's Kutch and Saurashtra regions.

The cyclone has now moved into Rajasthan in the form of a deep depression as rainfall began in Jalore, Sirohi, Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and nearby areas on Friday with wind speed in some areas reaching 40 to 50 km per hour.

According to weather department officials, rainfall will continue in parts of Rajasthan till Monday. The department has sounded a "red" alert for Jalore and Barmer. More than 200 mm of rainfall may occur in the areas where the alert has been sounded.
