Govt working on quota in jobs for dependents of flood victims

Dehradun, Jul 16:

to dependents of those killed in the devastating floods that hit the state last year.

Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar has asked officials to remove the legal bottlenecks in this regard in consultation with the Advocate General and find a solution to pave the way for granting reservation in government jobs to dependents of the victims of Uttarakhand tragedy, an official release here said.

The Chief Secretary has also asked officials to study job reservation formula adopted by other states for dependents of tragedy victims so that something on those lines could be done in Uttarakhand as well, it said.
