Goa Congress Criticises Kejriwal for Alleging Party Aids BJP by Providing MLAs

The Goa Congress has strongly countered Arvind Kejriwal's allegations that they are assisting the BJP by supplying MLAs. Party leaders assert that such claims only serve to benefit the ruling party and mislead the public.

The Congress party has responded to Arvind Kejriwal's claims that they are aiding the BJP in Goa by providing MLAs. Congress leaders argue that Kejriwal's statements benefit the BJP. Kejriwal, during a media interaction at Dabolim Airport, accused Congress of supporting the BJP's 13-year rule in Goa by supplying MLAs.

Manikrao Thakare, AICC in charge of Goa, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, criticised Kejriwal on X. He stated that Goans will not be deceived by what he called a "play written by Delhi." Thakare suggested that Kejriwal's actions in Goa are aiding the BJP.

Congress Accuses AAP of Collaborating with BJP

Thakare further questioned AAP's motives, implying they might be secretly collaborating with the BJP. "AAP’s actions speak louder than words - are they BJP’s secret collaborators?" he asked. This statement highlights Congress's belief that AAP is indirectly supporting the ruling party.

Amit Patkar, president of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, also criticised Kejriwal. He accused him of misleading Goans with what he termed "drama politics." Patkar emphasised that Congress has been actively opposing BJP's corruption and unemployment issues both in the Assembly and on the streets.

Kejriwal's Allegations and Congress's Response

Patkar accused AAP of acting as BJP’s "B-Team," only appearing during elections and vanishing when needed. He claimed that Kejriwal’s attacks on Congress reveal his true agenda. According to Patkar, Kejriwal aims to divide secular votes rather than defeat the BJP.

Patkar further stated that Kejriwal’s actions protect the BJP, which has governed Goa for over two decades. He accused the ruling party of exploiting resources and damaging Goa’s future and identity. These remarks underline Congress's stance against both AAP and BJP in Goa.

The ongoing exchange between Congress and AAP highlights tensions within opposition parties in Goa. Both parties accuse each other of indirectly supporting the BJP, reflecting deeper political strategies at play in the region.
